The KCB Foundation has initiated a student athletic program under the annual KCB Scholars program, providing scholarships to talented athletes from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program, starting with athletics, aims to support the National Student Athletes Programme and collaborate with the Kenya Academy of Sports. In 2024, 50 students were selected through athletics trials for full scholarships covering their 4-year secondary education, alongside athletics coaching at designated centers. Aligned with the CBC Curriculum, the program seeks to transform individuals into world-class athletes while supporting their education and personal development. The KCB Foundation plans to expand into other sports in the future. The comprehensive scholarship package targets 1,000 vulnerable students, offering fees payment, personal support, learning materials, mentorship, and employment opportunities. Launched in 2007, the program has already benefited numerous students, contributing to a high completion and university transition rate.
