In a phone interview with Millard Ayo TV, Zari clarified that the video was intended solely for the promotion of Diamond’s new song “Mapozi” and denied that it caused problems in her marriage to Shakib Cham Lutaaya.

Zari explained that the video was released on a Sunday, and on the following Thursday, Shakib was supposed to return to Uganda. However, he had not returned due to the video trending on social media. Zari admitted that she should have informed Shakib about the video, acknowledging it as her mistake. She expressed her understanding that it had become an issue for her husband.

Moreover, Zari disclosed that her relationship with Shakib had been facing challenges since at least November 2023. During that time, she started deleting photos of Shakib from her Instagram account. She emphasized that the issues in her marriage existed independently of the video with Diamond Platnumz and that the video only added to the existing problems.

Zari further clarified that the relationship between Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz (Couple A) and her relationship with Shakib (Couple B) were distinct, each with its own set of issues. She pointed out that Zuchu and Diamond had their problems, and the video was not the cause of their separation. Zari concluded by acknowledging the challenges in her marriage and the issues with Shakib that had been ongoing before the video incident.
