DJ Joe Mfalme Cleared in Murder Case, Designated State Witness

The Director of Public Prosecutions announced that there is insufficient evidence to pursue a murder charge in the case of police detective Felix Kitosi’s killing. Consequently, DJ Joe Mfalme, formerly under suspicion, has been cleared and designated as a state witness. Mfalme, whose real name is Joseph Mwenda Munoru, will testify against Allan Ochieng, a former employee, who is accused of murder. Ochieng, a former bouncer and MC for DJ Joe Mfalme, will face trial in the Kiambu High Court. DJ Joe Mfalme and five others, initially arrested in connection with Kitosi’s death, were released after being declared state witnesses. Allan Ochieng will be arraigned in court on a murder charge. The arrests were made based on the request of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and Inspector Fredrick Kosen sought a 21-day detention for further investigation into Kitosi’s death.
