Kenya Airways has been recognized as the second most efficient airline in Africa, based on a global on-time performance review conducted by Cirium, an aviation analytics company. The airline achieved an impressive 71.86% on-time arrival rate out of 41,905 completed flights in 2023. On-time performance is defined as arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled gate arrival for flights and departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure for airports.
Cirium’s On-Time Performance program, which collects data from over 600 sources, aims to provide a neutral, third-party perspective on operational performance for the airline industry. Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka attributed the high ranking to the airline’s persistent focus on delivering on-time performance, emphasizing its commitment to improving the guest experience. In the Middle East & Africa region, Kenya Airways was ranked 10th overall.
