Kenya Sevens emerged as the Dubai World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series champions, defeating Chile 12-7 in the finals at the Sevens Stadium. Patrick Odongo played a pivotal role, scoring two tries in the final, securing Kenya’s gold medal. Odongo’s early try gave Kenya a 7-0 lead, but mishandles allowed Chile to cut the lead to 7-5 at halftime. In the final half, Odongo scored again, sealing Kenya’s 12-7 victory. In the semis, Shujaa beat Uruguay 21-5, with Odongo scoring a hat trick. The top four Challenger Series teams will face the bottom four from the 2023/2024 World Series after the series’ three legs in Dubai, Montevideo, and Munich.
