The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has issued a notice regarding upcoming traffic disruptions along James Gichuru Road, scheduled from Thursday, March 14 to Sunday, March 17. This closure is essential for routine maintenance activities such as recarpeting, drainage repairs, and fixing lighting systems along the road. Anticipating heavy traffic congestion during this period, KURA advises motorists to seek alternative routes. The road serves as a vital link for residents from Waiyaki Way, Westlands, and Parklands to Nairobi’s Central Business District, and it also intersects with the Nairobi Expressway originating from Mlolongo. To mitigate disruption, KURA highlights that work will primarily occur during nighttime. Their objective is to enhance urban mobility and ensure road safety for all commuters.
