KCB East Africa Golf Tour

Get ready for an exciting showdown at the Kakamega golf course on Saturday as 150 players gear up for the 5th leg of the highly anticipated KCB East Africa Golf Tour 2023. This prestigious and competitive event promises an action-packed par-72 experience.

With the first tee-off scheduled for 6:30am, a diverse field of participants awaits, including members of the Kakamega Golf Club and guest players from various clubs nationwide. The intensity of the competition guarantees a thrilling display of golfing skills.

The victorious contenders from this clash will join the triumphant teams from Eldoret, Limuru, and Railways in the grand finale of the KCB golf tour, set to take place later in the year. It’s a chance for the winners to showcase their talent alongside the best golfers in the region.

Excitement fills the air as the Kakamega leg also presents two golf clinics specifically designed for ladies and junior golfers on Sunday. These clinics have already reached over 300 participants across the Vetlab, Eldoret, Limuru, and Railways legs of the tour.

Rosalind Gichuru, the KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communications, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to bring the 5th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf tour to Western Kenya at the esteemed Kakamega Golf Club. After the successful events at Vetlab, Eldoret, Limuru, and Railways Golf Clubs, we eagerly anticipate crowning the next set of teams who will compete in the grand finale later this year.”

Captain James Anzabwa of the Kakamega Golf Club shared his excitement about hosting this leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour. He praised the excellent condition of the course, particularly after the recent rainfall, which will undoubtedly provide an exhilarating challenge for the players.

In addition to the grand finale at Karen Country Club in November, the top two teams from this leg will secure a coveted opportunity to participate in the 2024 Magical Kenya Ladies Open Pro-Am event, adding an extra level of prestige and motivation to the competition.
