Following President William Ruto’s dismissal of the Cabinet, Principal Secretaries have been tasked with overseeing government operations. Ruto made this announcement while addressing the nation from State House, Nairobi, assuring the public that governmental functions will continue without interruption under the guidance of these officials.

Focus on Broad-Based Consultations

“I will immediately engage in extensive consultation across different sectors and political formations and other Kenyans both in the public and private sector with aim of setting up a broad-based government that will assist me in accelerating and expediting the necessary, urgent and irreversible implementation of the programme that we have including other radical measures to deal with burden of debt, to explore ways raising resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminating wastage and slaying dragon of corruption,” Ruto stated.

Government Efficiency Goals

Ruto emphasized his commitment to streamlining the government, aiming to make it lean, inexpensive, and efficient. He outlined his agenda to tackle national debt, enhance resource mobilization, create employment opportunities, curb wastage, and combat corruption through comprehensive reforms.
