Socialite Starlet Wahu, the 26-year-old sister of controversial pastor Victor Kanyari, met a tragic end at Papino Apartments in Nairobi’s South B Estate. She was found lifeless in an Airbnb unit, prompting a police investigation. Wahu had checked in with 34-year-old John Matara, now a person of interest. CCTV footage showed them entering and later exiting the apartment where a security guard later found it locked from the outside. The discovery revealed Wahu’s body in a bloody and chaotic scene with stab wounds to her head and thigh. Disturbing items like HIV testing kits, used condoms, bhang, alcohol, and a blood-stained kitchen knife were found. Wahu’s body was moved to City Mortuary, and Matara, tracked to Mbagathi County Hospital, was arrested after receiving treatment for a stab wound. The community is in shock as investigations into this puzzling crime unfold.
