A Kenyan TikTok user, known as Andanje, recently gained attention for sharing a story about his wife leaving him with their four-day-old baby to be with a wealthier Nigerian man. The viral post stirred discussions on social media platforms across Kenya, drawing considerable interest.

In a series of emotional videos, Andanje opened up about his struggles while cradling his newborn baby against the backdrop of gospel music. His wife, identified as @Agum.muga on TikTok, responded to his posts, advising him to take charge of raising the baby.

In a subsequent interview with local YouTubers, Agum Muga provided insights into the circumstances surrounding her decision to leave both her husband and the newborn. She traced the origins of their relationship back to an unexpected encounter during a journey to Nairobi. Despite the unplanned pregnancy, Agum confessed that her feelings for her husband were fleeting and not deeply rooted in love.

“Tulipatana kwa gari on our way to Nairobi. After a few weeks, tukaanza kudate na things happened and I got pregnant. About loving him, ilikuwa infatuation tu, nothing much. Abortion was not an option. I was pushed by circumstances because hatunge afford. The guy lost his job and I was not working at that time. We decided to have the baby but I made it clear that I would give birth and give him the baby,” she explained.

Financial constraints and a lack of stability were cited as factors influencing Agum Muga’s decision to part ways with her husband and relinquish custody of the baby. Expressing regret over the situation, she admitted to not being proud of her actions and acknowledged her husband’s unexpected public response.

Reflecting on her emotional state during the pregnancy, Agum Muga confessed to being swept up in infatuation and failing to consider the long-term implications of her choices. She lamented missed opportunities and setbacks caused by the pregnancy, feeling that her life had been put on hold.

Regarding her relationship with the Nigerian man, Agum Muga disclosed a professional connection that had evolved into a friendship over the years. Despite her pregnancy, the Nigerian remained supportive, patiently waiting for her to resume their relationship after giving birth.

While her family expressed concern, Agum Muga asserted her autonomy, emphasizing her determination to prioritize her happiness. She expressed contentment knowing that her baby was in the care of his father, allowing her to focus on her path forward.
