Anne Nderitu Should Resign.

The One Kenya Alliance, known as Azimio la Umoja, has demanded the immediate resignation of Anne Nderitu, the Registrar of Political Parties. Eugene Wamalwa, the leader of the DAP-K party, read a statement on Wednesday, May 23, expressing Azimio’s concerns. They accused Nderitu of colluding with the Kenya Kwanza government to undermine political parties.

Wamalwa stated, “In light of clear evidence indicating that Anne Nderitu has been involved in partisan and illegal activities with Kenya Kwanza, she must step down from her position as the Registrar of Political Parties. Instead of safeguarding political parties, she has been acting to cripple them.”

He further emphasized that Nderitu no longer enjoys the trust of political parties, who are her primary constituents. “Anne Nderitu has lost the confidence of the political parties she is mandated to strengthen. Instead, her actions have weakened them,” he added.

These demands from Azimio come shortly after Nderitu approved the removal of Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe from the Jubilee Party. Nderitu justified her decision in a letter addressed to Joshua Kuttuny on May 19, stating that the party followed the appropriate procedures as outlined in the Jubilee Party constitution.

However, the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal Court (PPDT) issued temporary orders to halt Nderitu from removing Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe from the Jubilee Party.
