Chepalungu MP Victor Koech Dismisses Fake Claims of Confrontation with Ruto’s Aide

Chepalungu MP Victor Koech, widely known as Mandazi, has dismissed claims of a confrontation with President William Ruto’s personal assistant, Farouk Kibet, calling them false and baseless.

In a statement issued on Sunday, December 29, the MP said the allegations were fabricated by his political rivals in a bid to damage his reputation. He also denounced a fake letter circulating on social media that falsely detailed the alleged incident.

“My attention has been drawn to a fake and malicious letter circulating on social media, falsely claiming there was a scuffle at Koiwa during President Ruto’s event. The letter is entirely fabricated, lacking a stamp, signature, or proper office address. It’s a deliberate effort by my competitors to mislead the public and tarnish my image,” Koech stated.

He condemned the use of fake news to manipulate public opinion, saying, “These false allegations are a calculated attempt to distract me from serving the people. Associating me and my office with such propaganda is defamatory and goes against the principles of justice and fairness.”

Koech reiterated his commitment to serving his constituents and vowed to remain focused despite attempts to undermine him.
