TSC Opens Applications for Junior Secondary School Teaching Opportunities
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced new teaching opportunities for Junior Secondary Schools (JSS), targeting qualified primary school teachers who wish to transition to this level.
In a notice issued on Monday, January 13, TSC invited applications exclusively from primary school teachers employed by the commission who meet specific requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the JSS teaching positions, applicants must:
- Be primary school teachers currently employed by TSC.
- Have attained a minimum mean grade of C+ in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
- Achieve a minimum grade of C+ in each of the two teaching subjects or possess an equivalent qualification.
The notice emphasized, “Only teachers serving under P&P in public primary schools who meet requisite qualifications are encouraged to apply.”

Applicants must:
- Log in using their TSC number and ID number.
